Over the last several months we have developed a design for an open source Robotic Lung Simulator for use in Mechanical Ventilation Training to simulate Lung Compliance, Airway Resistance, as well as patient respiratory effort. We would like to thank and acknowledge the many local Paramedics from the Critical Care community that made this possible through their sharing of training, knowledge and resources. By making this design open source training facilities around the world can download the files and 3D print their own parts as well as access readily available parts from eBay, Amazon as well as their local hardware store.
This project is currently in progress with 3D CAD Step files and PCB board design files to be uploaded shortly as well as several training videos on how to assemble and use the Robotic Lungs Simulator.
